Originally founded in 1941, today R&G Brenner ranks as the oldest privately owned tax preparation firm in the United States and is still run by the Brenner family, three generations since the firm’s original founding. Based in the New York area, the firm has an excellent reputation for its tax preparation and consultation services and now has clients from all over the United States and beyond. In November 2009 it was awarded the “Best in Business” award by the Small Business Commerce Association, which recognizes small businesses around the country that rank in the top five percent of providers in their respective fields or industries.

Over the past sixty-nine years, R& G Brenner has steadily increased the size and scope of its operations. Moving beyond simple tax preparation, the company now offers a wide range of services and financial products for individuals and small businesses. Further, R&G Brenner has several specialized divisions, such as the Premier Tax Service for high net worth individuals, company formation services, trustee services for retirement plans and arrangements, as well as an expert Audit Department that helps clients deal with audits by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and its consequences.

Today, R&G Brenner has twenty-eight office locations in New York State and its current executive offices are based at the Valley Stream branch in Nassau County. Nassau County is also home to six other branches in Bethpage, Elmont, Hampstead, Long Beach, Massapequa, and Mineola. Of course Nassau County is only part of Long Island, and the other part – Suffolk County – has five more branches at Babylon, Coram/Seldon, Medford, Melville, and West Sayville.

R&G Brenner also has thirteen offices in four of the five boroughs of New York City, with Staten Island being the only borough not to have a local R&G Brenner office. The Bronx has four offices, at Fordham, Jerome, Tremont and Melrose. In Brooklyn there are five offices which can be found in Bayridge, Downtown, East New York, Bensonhurst, and Mill Basin/Midwood. Manhattan only has two R&G Brenner offices (in Midtown and Harlem) as is the case with Queens (in Flushing and Middle Village). There are also three locations north of the city in Westchester and Rockland counties: at Mount Vernon, Yorktown Heights, and Spring Valley.

The exact addresses, telephone numbers and office hours of all of these locations can be found by visiting the R&G Brenner company website at www.rgbrenner.com. Alternatively, information about any particular branch can also be found by calling the company’s toll free telephone line at (888) APRIL15, or 888-277-4515. it is also possible to schedule a video conference online, though this is more appropriate for existing clients as opposed to new ones.

With so many offices in the greater New York area, few taxpayers should have much trouble finding an office close to them where they can go in and get an initial consultation. In fact if you bring the appropriate documentation with you to any R&G Brenner office, they will review your last three returns for errors or missing deductions for absolutely free.

Do you provide services to create Delaware LLC’s? Do you provide Trustee services? Can you assist in creation of Trusts for estate planning and asset protection. Also, I shall require a tax expert to guide me in the preparation of my estate planning as well as my annual tax returns. Please itemize your fees for all of the above. Thank you.
